Job Description
Michelin Hiring Automation Engineer in Tuscaloosa, AL – Machine technical documents and accompanying instructions (safety, quality, response protocols, and backup, etc.) are in compliance. Instructions for maintenance (setup, commissioning, adjustment, calibration, and so on) were followed and implemented. Controlled technical parameters (Machine technical parameters for the Process -MTP). Lower maintenance expenses (preventive effort and troubleshooting). Maintenance skills improvement (tutoring, coaching, training materials, maintenance assistance devices, one-point teaching).
Qualifications
Preferred 2-4 years of engineering experience and a bachelor’s degree in engineering, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering or comparable technical expertise.
Responsibilities
Assists with performance analysis in order to optimize the overall system and/or system design in order to tackle complicated missile defence issues. Interdisciplinary, collaborative approaches to planning, designing, developing, and verifying system solutions are encouraged.
Aids in the definition and coordination of system performance and technical parameters. Assists with performance analysis to ensure mission success by incorporating affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance, product security (cyber security), and other quality factors into a preferred configuration.
Eligibility Criteria
Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and Motion Control technologies are familiar to you. Extensive knowledge of Rockwell, Siemens, and Control Techniques is advantageous. Experience in HMI programming, configuration, and communication. It’s a plus if you’ve worked with Rockwell before.
Working knowledge of control system network interfaces and different protocols for device communication, including computer system databases.
